ATHENA PowerLink

Mentoring program for established women owned businesses.

The ATHENA PowerLink program is designed to help women business owners take their business to the next level. Women in the program are assigned a volunteer panel of experts from Kansas City’s business community that act like a board of directors. The program is a joint effort of the Kansas Women’s Business Center, the Entrepreneurial Growth Resource Center at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the Missouri Women’s Business Center. To qualify for the program, a women business owner must own at least 51 percent of her business and actively manage it; own the business for a minimum of two years and have at least two full-time employees; and have a minimum of $250,000 in revenues for a manufacturing or retail business or $100,000 for a service business. For an application, contact Kansas Women's Business Center (913) 492-5922, or the Missouri Women’s Business Center (816) 235-6142.
